Bridget Birdsall uses her books and life experiences to bring insight, humor and wisdom to a wide array of serious subjects, including bullying, dealing with differences, depression, and even death.
Because of great interest in Bridget’s novel Double Exposure, the story of an intersex / transgender teen athlete, Bridget has customized educational talks to fit the needs of various schools and organizations. By encouraging conversations about gender diversity and what it means to be male, female, or different in any way, audiences gain insights on how to compassionately confront bullies, including those that live within themselves.
Sticks and stones can break your bones, but words can actually kill you. Bullying happens everywhere, “being different” can be a dangerous thing. Therefore, a portion of all Bridget’s book proceeds go to organizations that promote understanding and advocate for Queer youth.
